Marketing for HealthNut
Jeff Hoyt
Product design
For this UX project, I took on the challenge of designing a marketing tool to be used as posters, landing page, and more.
Overview
Overview
Problem
People need dietary and fitness advice that takes their health condition/s into consideration.
Solution
Develop an app that allows the users to input their health condition/s and get customized advice that will either help or not effect them negatively due to their health condition/s.
Outcome
Users will gain confidence in the app and it's features and will frequently return to the app.
Overview
Problem
Due to over-saturation, people have a tendency to ignore advertisements even if it is something that they could benefit from.
Solution
Develop an ad that will catch the user's attention.
Outcome
Users will be more likely to visit the application to give it a shot.

My process
Research
Define
Empathize
In order to empathize with my audience I joined in on some forum posts that were talking about other health apps. I posted a lot of questions and engaged in some conversation with other users. After becoming a "part of the group" I found a few users that were willing to have a quick interview with me. In an effort to maximize these interviews I conducted a mix of interviewing styles. The interviews would be conducted as
1 - Ten questions in relation to advertising
2 - A / B testing with other marketing campaigns
3 - Open conversation to talk about anything
Key insights
After conducting my interviews I have come to the conclusion that less content is better content and humor is always a winner.

Ideate
Now with my user personas in place, I've set out to look at the competition and get a better idea of what works best. After much time, I put together a couple of sketches and then moved on to the next step.

A/B testing
Do get some quick feed back I did some A/B testing to compare different marketing mock ups and then produced the winning result.
